मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-4, verse-53

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति जैमिने ।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजत्यसौ ॥५३॥
53. yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānirbhavati jaimine .
abhyutthānamadharmasya tadātmānaṃ sṛjatyasau.

abhyutthānam adharmasya tadā ātmānam sṛjati asau
53. O Jaimini, whenever there is indeed a decline of natural law (dharma) and a rise of unrighteousness (adharma), then that one manifests her own self (ātman).
