यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति जैमिने ।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजत्यसौ ॥५३॥

O Jaimini, whenever there is indeed a decline of natural law (dharma) and a rise of unrighteousness (adharma), then that one manifests her own self (ātman).
