दत्तात्रेय उवाच ।
नृणां पदे स्थिता लक्ष्मीर्निलयं सम्प्रयच्छति ।
सक्थ्न्योश्च संस्थिता वस्त्रं तथा नानाविधं वसु ॥४९॥

49. dattātreya uvāca .
nṛṇāṃ pade sthitā lakṣmīrnilayaṃ samprayacchati .
sakthnyośca saṃsthitā vastraṃ tathā nānāvidhaṃ vasu.

Dattātreya said: Lakṣmī, residing in the feet of men, bestows a dwelling. And situated in their thighs, she grants clothing as well as various kinds of wealth.
