देवानां दानवानाञ्च युद्धमासीत् सुदारुणम् ।
दैत्यानामीश्वरो जम्भो देवानाञ्च शचीपतिः ॥१६॥

devānāṃ dānavānāñca yuddhamāsīt sudāruṇam .
daityānāmīśvaro jambho devānāñca śacīpatiḥ.

daityānām īśvaraḥ jambhaḥ devānām ca śacīpatiḥ

Garga said: A very terrible battle took place between the gods and the Dānavas. Jambha was the leader of the Daityas, and Śacī's husband (Indra) was the leader of the gods.
