मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-18, verse-10

पुत्र उवाच ।
तस्य तन्निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा मन्त्रिमध्यस्थितोऽब्रवीत् ।
गर्गो नाम महाबुद्धिर्मुनिश्रेष्ठो वयोऽतिगः ॥१०॥
10. putra uvāca .
tasya tanniścayaṃ jñātvā mantrimadhyasthito'bravīt .
gargo nāma mahābuddhirmuniśreṣṭho vayo'tigaḥ.
10. putraḥ uvāca tasya tat niścayam jñātvā mantri-madhya-sthitaḥ
abravīt gargaḥ nāma mahābuddhiḥ muni-śreṣṭhaḥ vayaḥ-atigaḥ
10. The son said: Knowing his firm resolve (niścaya), Garga by name—a highly intelligent and foremost sage (muni), who was very advanced in age—spoke from amidst the ministers.
