मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-18, verse-30

दत्तात्रेय उवाच ।
सत्यमेतत् सुरा विद्या ममास्ति समदर्शिनः ।
अस्यास्तु योषितः सङ्गादहमुच्छिष्टतां गतः ॥३०॥
30. dattātreya uvāca .
satyametat surā vidyā mamāsti samadarśinaḥ .
asyāstu yoṣitaḥ saṅgādahamucchiṣṭatāṃ gataḥ.
30. dattātreyaḥ uvāca satyam etat surāḥ vidyā mama asti
samadarśinaḥ asyāḥ tu yoṣitaḥ saṅgāt aham ucchiṣṭatām gataḥ
30. Dattātreya said: "O gods, this is true: I possess the knowledge (vidyā) of equanimity. However, due to my association with this woman, I have become defiled."
