मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-18, verse-17

तेषाञ्च युध्यमानानां दिव्यः संवत्सरो गतः ।
ततो देवाः पराभूता दैत्या विजयिनोऽभवन् ॥१७॥
17. teṣāñca yudhyamānānāṃ divyaḥ saṃvatsaro gataḥ .
tato devāḥ parābhūtā daityā vijayino'bhavan.
17. teṣām ca yudhyamānānām divyaḥ saṃvatsaraḥ gataḥ
tataḥ devāḥ parābhūtāḥ daityāḥ vijayinaḥ abhavan
17. While they were fighting, a divine year passed. After that, the gods were defeated, and the Daityas became victorious.
