महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-82, verse-26

अनादृत्य ततो भीष्मस्तं शिखण्डिनमाहवे ।
प्रययौ सृञ्जयान्क्रुद्धः स्त्रीत्वं चिन्त्य शिखण्डिनः ॥२६॥
26. anādṛtya tato bhīṣmastaṁ śikhaṇḍinamāhave ,
prayayau sṛñjayānkruddhaḥ strītvaṁ cintya śikhaṇḍinaḥ.

26. Then Bhishma, enraged, disregarded Shikhandi in battle. Considering Shikhandi's female nature (strītva), he proceeded instead towards the Srinjayas.
