महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-82, verse-18

तं चरन्तं रणे पार्था ददृशुः कौरवं युधि ।
मृगमध्यं प्रविश्येव यथा सिंहशिशुं वने ॥१८॥
18. taṁ carantaṁ raṇe pārthā dadṛśuḥ kauravaṁ yudhi ,
mṛgamadhyaṁ praviśyeva yathā siṁhaśiśuṁ vane.
18. tam carantam raṇe pārthāḥ dadṛśuḥ kauravam yudhi
mṛgamadhyam praviśya iva yathā siṃhaśiśum vane
18. pārthāḥ raṇe yudhi carantam tam kauravam dadṛśuḥ
yathā vane mṛgamadhyam praviśya siṃhaśiśum iva
18. The Pārthas (sons of Pṛthā) saw him, the Kuru warrior, moving actively in battle, just like a lion cub that has entered a herd of deer in the forest.
