महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-40, verse-9

गाण्डीवं धनुरादाय शरांश्चाशीविषोपमान् ।
सज्यं धनुर्वरं कृत्वा ज्याघोषेण निनादयन् ॥९॥
9. gāṇḍīvaṁ dhanurādāya śarāṁścāśīviṣopamān ,
sajyaṁ dhanurvaraṁ kṛtvā jyāghoṣeṇa ninādayan.

9. Taking up the Gāṇḍīva bow and arrows that resembled venomous snakes, and having strung that excellent bow, he made it resound with the twang of its string.
