महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-40, verse-16

स विद्धो बहुभिर्बाणैर्दीप्तास्यैः पन्नगैरिव ।
ममार राक्षसं रूपं भूयः कृत्वा विभीषणम् ॥१६॥
16. sa viddho bahubhirbāṇairdīptāsyaiḥ pannagairiva ,
mamāra rākṣasaṁ rūpaṁ bhūyaḥ kṛtvā vibhīṣaṇam.
16. saḥ viddhaḥ bahubhiḥ bāṇaiḥ dīptāsyaiḥ pannagaiḥ
iva mamāra rākṣasam rūpam bhūyaḥ kṛtvā vibhīṣaṇam
16. Pierced by many arrows, as if by serpents with flaming mouths, he died, having again assumed his terrifying demonic (rākṣasa) form.
