महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-164, verse-16

सुरकार्यार्थसिद्ध्यर्थं दृष्टवानसि शंकरम् ।
अस्मत्तोऽपि गृहाण त्वमस्त्राणीति समन्ततः ॥१६॥
16. surakāryārthasiddhyarthaṁ dṛṣṭavānasi śaṁkaram ,
asmatto'pi gṛhāṇa tvamastrāṇīti samantataḥ.

asmattaḥ api gṛhāṇa tvam astrāṇi iti samantataḥ
16. You have seen Śaṅkara for the purpose of accomplishing the task of the gods. 'From us too, you should receive weapons (astras),' they said from all directions.
