महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-158, verse-47

अहं पूर्वमगस्त्येन क्रुद्धेन परमर्षिणा ।
शप्तोऽपराधे कस्मिंश्चित्तस्यैषा निष्कृतिः कृता ॥४७॥
47. ahaṁ pūrvamagastyena kruddhena paramarṣiṇā ,
śapto'parādhe kasmiṁścittasyaiṣā niṣkṛtiḥ kṛtā.
47. aham pūrvam agastyena kruddhena paramarṣiṇā śaptaḥ
aparādhe kasmin cit tasya eṣā niṣkṛtiḥ kṛtā
47. Previously, I was cursed by the enraged great sage (paramarṣi) Agastya for some offense. Your action has become the expiation (niṣkṛti) for that curse.
