महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-68, verse-52

नश्येदभिमृशन्सद्यो मृगः कूटमिव स्पृशन् ।
आत्मस्वमिव संरक्षेद्राजस्वमिह बुद्धिमान् ॥५२॥
52. naśyedabhimṛśansadyo mṛgaḥ kūṭamiva spṛśan ,
ātmasvamiva saṁrakṣedrājasvamiha buddhimān.

ātmasvam iva saṃrakṣet rājasvam iha buddhimān

52. Just as a deer touching a snare immediately perishes, a wise person in this world should protect the king's property as if it were their own (ātman).
