महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-68, verse-32

स्त्रियश्चापुरुषा मार्गं सर्वालंकारभूषिताः ।
निर्भयाः प्रतिपद्यन्ते यदा रक्षति भूमिपः ॥३२॥

32. striyaścāpuruṣā mārgaṁ sarvālaṁkārabhūṣitāḥ ,
nirbhayāḥ pratipadyante yadā rakṣati bhūmipaḥ.

32. When the ruler (bhūmipaḥ) provides protection, women, adorned with all their ornaments and unaccompanied by men, can traverse the roads fearlessly.
