The night is of the same duration, also a Brahmic (brāhmī) period. At the beginning (of the day), the Lord (īśvara) (creates) the universe. At the dissolution (pralaye), having entered into His own spiritual essence (adhyātmam) and having slept, He awakens at the end (of the night).
