स ब्रह्मचारी च तपोधनश्च सदोत्थितः कर्मसु चैव दक्षः ।
कचस्य मार्गं प्रतिपत्स्ये न भोक्ष्ये प्रियो हि मे तात कचोऽभिरूपः ॥३८॥

38. sa brahmacārī ca tapodhanaśca; sadotthitaḥ karmasu caiva dakṣaḥ ,
kacasya mārgaṁ pratipatsye na bhokṣye; priyo hi me tāta kaco'bhirūpaḥ.

38. saḥ brahmacārī ca tapodhanaḥ ca sadā
utthitaḥ karmasu ca eva dakṣaḥ |
kacasya mārgam pratipatsye na bhokṣye
priyaḥ hi me tāta kacaḥ abhirūpaḥ

38. He was a brahmacharin and rich in tapas, always diligent and skilled in his duties. I will follow Kacha's path; I will not eat, for, dear father, Kacha is beloved to me and handsome.

38. הוא (קַצ׳ַה) שומר נדר פרישות, בעל עוצמה רוחנית, תמיד ער וזריז, ומיומן בכל מעשה. אלך בדרכו של קַצ׳ַה ולא אאכל. הוא יקר לי מאוד, אבא, קַצ׳ַה היפה.
