महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-71, verse-3

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
ययातिरासीद्राजर्षिर्देवराजसमद्युतिः ।
तं शुक्रवृषपर्वाणौ वव्राते वै यथा पुरा ॥३॥
3. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
yayātirāsīdrājarṣirdevarājasamadyutiḥ ,
taṁ śukravṛṣaparvāṇau vavrāte vai yathā purā.
3. vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca yayātiḥ āsīt rājarṣiḥ devarājasamadyutiḥ
tam śukravṛṣaparvāṇau vavrāte vai yathā purā
3. Vaiśampāyana said: There was a royal sage named Yayāti, whose brilliance was equal to that of the king of the gods. Indeed, Śukra and Vṛṣaparvā chose him, just as they had done previously.
