श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अधृतं धृतमेवोच्चैरपतच्चैव वा पतत् ।
अनाकृत्येव साकारं जगत्स्वप्नपुरं यथा ॥ ५६ ॥

56. śrīvasiṣṭhaḥ uvāca jagat yathā svapnapuram,
adhṛtam eva dhṛtam,
anākṛtyā iva sākāram,
ca uccaiḥ apatat eva vā patat

56. Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Just like a dream city (svapnapura), the world (jagat) is unsupported yet truly supported, and formless (anākṛti) yet having form (sākāra). It intensely manifested (as if falling), or rather, it is continuously manifesting (as if falling).
