योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-14, verse-15

कः किलात्र कुतः खेदो यन्मूर्खः परितप्यते ।
दुःखायैव हि जायन्ते करभाः प्राकृतास्तथा ॥ १५ ॥
kaḥ kilātra kutaḥ khedo yanmūrkhaḥ paritapyate ,
duḥkhāyaiva hi jāyante karabhāḥ prākṛtāstathā 15
15. kaḥ kila atra kutaḥ khedaḥ yat mūrkhaḥ paritapyate
duḥkhāya eva hi jāyante karabhāḥ prākṛtāḥ tathā
15. atra kaḥ kila kutaḥ khedaḥ yat mūrkhaḥ paritapyate
hi karabhāḥ prākṛtāḥ tathā duḥkhāya eva jāyante
15. What indeed is the point here? Why lament that a fool suffers? For ordinary, foolish people (karabha) are indeed born only for suffering.
