पूर्वस्यां कोसलाः काशिमागधा मिथिलोत्कलाः ।
मेखलाः कर्करा मुद्रास्तथा संग्रामशौण्डकाः ॥ २२ ॥
pūrvasyāṃ kosalāḥ kāśimāgadhā mithilotkalāḥ ,
mekhalāḥ karkarā mudrāstathā saṃgrāmaśauṇḍakāḥ 22

22. In the east are the Kosalas, the Kashis and Magadhas, the Mithilas and Utkalas, the Mekhalas, Karkaras, Mudras, and also the Sangramashauṇḍakas (people valorous in battle).
