वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-16, verse-61

प्रविश्य वेश्मातिभृशं मुदान्वितं समीक्ष्य तां चार्थविपत्तिमागताम् ।
न चैव रामो ऽत्र जगाम विक्रियां सुहृज्जनस्यात्मविपत्तिशङ्कया ॥६१॥
61. praviśya veśmātibhṛśaṃ mudānvitaṃ samīkṣya tāṃ cārthavipattimāgatām ,
na caiva rāmo'tra jagāma vikriyāṃ suhṛjjanasyātmavipattiśaṅkayā.
61. praviśya veśma atibhṛśam mudānvitaṃ
samīkṣya tām ca arthavipattim āgatām
na ca eva rāmaḥ atra jagāma vikriyām
suhṛjjanasya ātmavipattiśaṅkayā
61. atibhṛśam mudānvitaṃ veśma praviśya,
tām āgatām ca arthavipattim samīkṣya,
rāmaḥ atra vikriyām na ca eva jagāma,
suhṛjjanasya ātmavipattiśaṅkayā.
61. Upon entering the dwelling, which was filled with exceeding joy, and observing the calamity that had arrived, Rama showed no agitation (vikriyā), fearing misfortune (vipatti) for his loved ones.
