वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-16, verse-28

एवमस्तु गमिष्यामि वनं वस्तुमहं त्वतः ।
जटाचीरधरो राज्ञः प्रतिज्ञामनुपालयन् ॥२८॥
28. evamastu gamiṣyāmi vanaṃ vastumahaṃ tvataḥ ,
jaṭācīradharo rājñaḥ pratijñāmanupālayan.
28. evam astu gamiṣyāmi vanam vastum aham tvataḥ
jaṭācīradharaḥ rājñaḥ pratijñām anupālayan
28. evam astu aham tvataḥ jaṭācīradharaḥ rājñaḥ
pratijñām anupālayan vanam vastum gamiṣyāmi
28. So be it. I will go to the forest to reside, as you wish, wearing matted hair and bark clothes, upholding the king's vow.
