वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-16, verse-46

नाहमर्थपरो देवि लोकमावस्तुमुत्सहे ।
विद्धि मामृषिभिस्तुल्यं केवलं धर्ममास्थितम् ॥४६॥
46. nāhamarthaparo devi lokamāvastumutsahe ,
viddhi māmṛṣibhistulyaṃ kevalaṃ dharmamāsthitam.
46. na aham artha-paraḥ devi lokam āvastum utsahe
viddhi mām ṛṣibhiḥ tulyam kevalam dharmam āsthitam
46. devi aham artha-paraḥ na lokam āvastum utsahe mām
ṛṣibhiḥ tulyam kevalam dharmam āsthitam viddhi
46. O goddess, I am not concerned with worldly gains, nor do I wish to reside in the world [in that manner]. Know me to be like the sages, solely devoted to natural law (dharma).
