मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-35, verse-53

तत्तद् गुणवते देयं तदेवाक्षयमिच्छता ।
पूर्णैस्तु दिवसैः स्पृष्ट्वा सलिलं वाहनायुधम् ॥५३॥
53. tattad guṇavate deyaṃ tadevākṣayamicchatā .
pūrṇaistu divasaiḥ spṛṣṭvā salilaṃ vāhanāyudham.
53. tat tat guṇavate deyam tat eva akṣayam icchatā
pūrṇaiḥ tu divasaiḥ spṛṣṭvā salilam vāhanāyudham
53. That very gift should be given to a virtuous person by one who desires it to be imperishable. Furthermore, after completing certain days, one should purify with water and handle one's vehicles and weapons.
