मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-35, verse-38

यस्य चानुदिनं हानिर्गृहे नित्यस्य कर्मणः ।
यश्च ब्राह्मणसन्त्यक्तः किल्विषी स नराधमः ॥३८॥
38. yasya cānudinaṃ hānirgṛhe nityasya karmaṇaḥ .
yaśca brāhmaṇasantyaktaḥ kilviṣī sa narādhamaḥ.
38. yasya ca anudinam hāniḥ gṛhe nityasya karmaṇaḥ
yaḥ ca brāhmaṇasantyaktaḥ kilviṣī saḥ narādhamaḥ
38. He who experiences a daily neglect of his regular duties (karma) in the home, and who is abandoned by Brahmins, that sinful person is the lowest among men.
