मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-35, verse-21

रजोऽग्निरश्वो गौश्छाया रश्मयः पवनो मही ।
विप्रुषो मक्षिकाद्याश्च दुष्टसङ्गाददोषिणः ॥२१॥
21. rajo'gniraśvo gauśchāyā raśmayaḥ pavano mahī .
vipruṣo makṣikādyāśca duṣṭasaṅgādadoṣiṇaḥ.
21. rajaḥ agniḥ aśvaḥ gauḥ chāyā raśmayaḥ pavanaḥ mahī
vipruṣaḥ makṣikā-ādyāḥ ca duṣṭasaṅgāt adoṣiṇaḥ
21. Dust, fire, a horse (aśva), a cow (go), a shadow, sunbeams, wind, the earth (mahī), drops of water, and flies (makṣikā) etc. are not defiled by contact with the impure.
