मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-35, verse-16

लेपादुल्लेखनात् सेकाद्वेश्मसंमार्जनार्चनात् ।
केशकीटावपन्ने च गोघ्राते मक्षिकान्विते ॥१६॥

16. A dwelling (veśman) is purified by plastering, scraping, sprinkling, sweeping, and worshipping. Similarly, purification is needed when hair or insects have fallen into something, when it has been sniffed by a cow, or when it is covered with flies.
