मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-35, verse-36

अभोज्यं सूतिका-षण्ड-मार्जाराखुश्वकुक्कुटान् ।
पतिताविद्धचण्डाल-मृतहारांश्च धर्मवित् ॥३६॥

36. A knower of natural law (dharma) declares the following to be unfit for consumption: a woman in postpartum confinement, a eunuch, a cat, a rat, a dog, a chicken, a fallen person, an afflicted person, an untouchable (caṇḍāla), and a corpse-bearer.
