दुर्योधनमिदं वाक्यं हृष्टरूपो विशां पते ।
कृतकार्यमिवात्मानं मन्यमानोऽब्रवीन्नृपम् ॥८॥

8. duryodhanamidaṁ vākyaṁ hṛṣṭarūpo viśāṁ pate ,

O lord of the people (viśām pate), Shakuni, joyful in appearance and considering himself (ātman) to have accomplished his task, spoke this statement to King Duryodhana.
