महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-10, verse-39

गौतमः पुनराचार्यो धृष्टद्युम्नमयोधयत् ।
असंभ्रान्तमसंभ्रान्तो यत्नवान्यत्नवत्तरम् ॥३९॥
39. gautamaḥ punarācāryo dhṛṣṭadyumnamayodhayat ,
asaṁbhrāntamasaṁbhrānto yatnavānyatnavattaram.

39. The preceptor (ācārya) Gautama (Droṇa), in turn, fought Dhṛṣṭadyumna. Remaining composed, he fought the equally composed opponent; though diligent, he faced one who fought with even greater diligence.
