महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-10, verse-10

तां दृष्ट्वा सीदतीं सेनां पङ्के गामिव दुर्बलाम् ।
उज्जिहीर्षुस्तदा शल्यः प्रायात्पाण्डुचमूं प्रति ॥१०॥
10. tāṁ dṛṣṭvā sīdatīṁ senāṁ paṅke gāmiva durbalām ,
ujjihīrṣustadā śalyaḥ prāyātpāṇḍucamūṁ prati.
10. tām dṛṣṭvā sīdatīm senām paṅke gām iva durbalām
ujjihīrṣuḥ tadā śalyaḥ prāyāt pāṇḍucamūm prati
10. tām sīdatīm durbalām senām paṅke gām iva dṛṣṭvā,
tadā ujjihīrṣuḥ śalyaḥ pāṇḍucamūm prati prāyāt.
10. Having seen that weak, perishing army, like a cow sinking in the mud, Śalya then, desiring to rescue it, advanced towards the Pandava army.
