महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-10, verse-24

आविष्ट इव मद्रेशो मन्युना पौरुषेण च ।
प्राच्छादयदरीन्संख्ये कालसृष्ट इवान्तकः ।
विनर्दमानो मद्रेशो मेघह्रादो महाबलः ॥२४॥
24. āviṣṭa iva madreśo manyunā pauruṣeṇa ca ,
prācchādayadarīnsaṁkhye kālasṛṣṭa ivāntakaḥ ,
vinardamāno madreśo meghahrādo mahābalaḥ.

ca prācchādayat arīn saṅkhye
kāla-sṛṣṭaḥ iva antakaḥ vinardamānaḥ
madreśaḥ megha-hrādaḥ mahā-balaḥ
24. manyunā ca pauruṣeṇa āviṣṭaḥ iva madreśaḥ,
kāla-sṛṣṭaḥ antakaḥ iva,
saṅkhye arīn prācchādayat.

24. Overcome by wrath and valor, the lord of Madras (Śalya) overwhelmed his enemies in battle, just like Yama (antaka), the destroyer created by time. Roaring like a thunderous cloud, the mighty lord of Madras [fought].
