महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-10, verse-16

मृगाश्च माहिषाश्चापि पक्षिणश्च विशां पते ।
अपसव्यं तदा चक्रुः सेनां ते बहुशो नृप ॥१६॥
16. mṛgāśca māhiṣāścāpi pakṣiṇaśca viśāṁ pate ,
apasavyaṁ tadā cakruḥ senāṁ te bahuśo nṛpa.

apasavyam tadā cakruḥ senām te bahuśaḥ nṛpa

16. O Lord of people (viśāmpate), O King (nṛpa), then deer, buffaloes, and also birds, frequently circled the army to the left, which was an inauspicious sign.
