महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-57, verse-33

कर्ण उवाच ।
प्रकृतिस्थो हि मे शल्य इदानीं संमतस्तथा ।
प्रतिभासि महाबाहो विभीश्चैव धनंजयात् ॥३३॥
33. karṇa uvāca ,
prakṛtistho hi me śalya idānīṁ saṁmatastathā ,
pratibhāsi mahābāho vibhīścaiva dhanaṁjayāt.
33. karṇaḥ uvāca prakṛtisthaḥ hi me śalya idānīm saṃmataḥ
tathā pratibhāsi mahābāho vibhīḥ ca eva dhanaṃjayāt
33. karṇaḥ uvāca mahābāho śalya idānīm hi me prakṛtisthaḥ
saṃmataḥ tathā ca eva dhanaṃjayāt vibhīḥ pratibhāsi
33. Karna said: 'O mighty-armed Śalya, you now appear to me to be truly in your proper disposition (prakṛti), agreeable, and indeed fearful of Dhanañjaya (Arjuna).'
