महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-97, verse-27

हतमायं ततो रक्षो वध्यमानं च सायकैः ।
रथं तत्रैव संत्यज्य प्राद्रवन्महतो भयात् ॥२७॥
27. hatamāyaṁ tato rakṣo vadhyamānaṁ ca sāyakaiḥ ,
rathaṁ tatraiva saṁtyajya prādravanmahato bhayāt.

ratham tatra eva saṃtyajya prādravat mahataḥ bhayāt

27. Then the rākṣasa (demon), whose illusions (māyā) had been destroyed and who was being struck down by arrows, abandoned his chariot right there and fled out of great fear.
