महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-24, verse-41

व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिरेकेह कुरुनन्दन ।
बहुशाखा ह्यनन्ताश्च बुद्धयोऽव्यवसायिनाम् ॥४१॥
41. vyavasāyātmikā buddhirekeha kurunandana ,
bahuśākhā hyanantāśca buddhayo'vyavasāyinām.

bahuśākhāḥ hi anantāḥ ca buddhayaḥ avyavasāyinām

41. O delight of the Kurus, in this path, the intellect (buddhi) that is resolute is single-minded. But the intellects (buddhi) of the irresolute are many-branched and endless.
