महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-219, verse-50

गन्धर्वाश्चापि यं दिव्याः संस्पृशन्ति नरं भुवि ।
उन्माद्यति स तु क्षिप्रं ग्रहो गान्धर्व एव सः ॥५०॥

50. gandharvāścāpi yaṁ divyāḥ saṁspṛśanti naraṁ bhuvi ,
unmādyati sa tu kṣipraṁ graho gāndharva eva saḥ.

50. gandharvāḥ ca api yam divyāḥ saṃspṛśanti naram bhuvi
unmādyati saḥ tu kṣipram grahaḥ gāndharvaḥ eva saḥ

50. When divine Gandharvas touch a man on earth, he quickly goes mad. That is indeed the Gandharva possession.
