महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-219, verse-39

लोहितस्योदधेः कन्या धात्री स्कन्दस्य सा स्मृता ।
लोहितायनिरित्येवं कदम्बे सा हि पूज्यते ॥३९॥
39. lohitasyodadheḥ kanyā dhātrī skandasya sā smṛtā ,
lohitāyanirityevaṁ kadambe sā hi pūjyate.

| lohitāyanir iti evam kadambe sā hi pūjyate
39. She is remembered as the daughter of the Red Ocean and the foster-mother of Skanda. Indeed, she is worshipped in the Kadamba grove under the name Lohitāyani.
