महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-219, verse-36

कद्रूः सूक्ष्मवपुर्भूत्वा गर्भिणीं प्रविशेद्यदा ।
भुङ्क्ते सा तत्र तं गर्भं सा तु नागं प्रसूयते ॥३६॥

36. kadrūḥ sūkṣmavapurbhūtvā garbhiṇīṁ praviśedyadā ,
bhuṅkte sā tatra taṁ garbhaṁ sā tu nāgaṁ prasūyate.

36. When Kadru, assuming a subtle form, enters a pregnant woman, she consumes that fetus inside her. Then, that woman gives birth to a serpent (nāga).
