महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-40, verse-49

अवश्यकरणीयं हि गुरोरिह हि शासनम् ।
यदि त्वेतदहं कुर्यामाश्चर्यं स्यात्कृतं मया ॥४९॥

49. avaśyakaraṇīyaṁ hi guroriha hi śāsanam ,
yadi tvetadahaṁ kuryāmāścaryaṁ syātkṛtaṁ mayā.

tu etat aham kuryām āścaryam syāt kṛtam mayā

49. Indeed, the command of the (guru) must certainly be carried out in this matter. But if I were to do this, it would be an astonishing feat accomplished by me.
