महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-40, verse-3

प्रमदाश्च यथा सृष्टा ब्रह्मणा भरतर्षभ ।
यदर्थं तच्च ते तात प्रवक्ष्ये वसुधाधिप ॥३॥
3. pramadāśca yathā sṛṣṭā brahmaṇā bharatarṣabha ,
yadarthaṁ tacca te tāta pravakṣye vasudhādhipa.

yat artham tat ca te tāta pravakṣye vasudhādhipa

3. And O best of Bharatas, I shall also explain to you, O dear one, O lord of the earth, how alluring women (pramadā) were created by Brahmā and for what purpose.
