महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-40, verse-10

क्रोधं कामस्य देवेशः सहायं चासृजत्प्रभुः ।
असज्जन्त प्रजाः सर्वाः कामक्रोधवशं गताः ॥१०॥
10. krodhaṁ kāmasya deveśaḥ sahāyaṁ cāsṛjatprabhuḥ ,
asajjanta prajāḥ sarvāḥ kāmakrodhavaśaṁ gatāḥ.

10. The Lord of gods (prajāpati) created anger as an associate of desire. All beings became ensnared, having fallen under the sway of desire and anger.
