O King, these banks of the Jambu river gleam with the sun's rays. They appear as golden masses, encompassing all villages, forests, cities, plains, mountains, trees, stumps, and brahmin settlements. Emitting abundant splendor all around, they appear to lick the sky's inner expanse with streams of flames. Indeed, all this land is served by immortals, not by humans.
