योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-115, verse-16

वंशानां हृदि पर्वतेषु जलधौ तोयार्थिनीनां तु ये शुक्तीनां हृदये विशन्ति समये वर्षांभसां बिन्दवः ।
ते मुक्ताफलतां व्रजन्ति करिणां कुम्भेषु वान्यद्भवेत् शुद्धौ मौक्तिकवत्स्युरुत्तमगुणा एतास्त्रिधा जातयः ॥ १६ ॥
vaṃśānāṃ hṛdi parvateṣu jaladhau toyārthinīnāṃ tu ye śuktīnāṃ hṛdaye viśanti samaye varṣāṃbhasāṃ bindavaḥ ,

16. The drops of rainwater which, seeking water, enter the heart of oysters in the ocean at the proper time, become pearls. Similarly, within bamboos or on mountains, and certainly within the frontal globes of elephants, other precious things are produced. These three distinct types of natural products, in their pure form, possess excellent qualities, resembling pearls.
