योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-115, verse-18

वातायनोदरगवाक्षकवाटकक्षाद्वाराननैरिह पुराण्युदिते पठन्ति ।
श्वभ्राभ्रकन्दरदरीवनवेणुरन्ध्रवर्गेण मन्दर इवामृतसिन्धुमिन्दुम् ॥ १८ ॥

18. vātāyana-udara-gavākṣa-kavāṭa-kakṣā-dvāra-ānanaiḥ
iha purāṇāni udite paṭhanti

mandaraḥ iva amṛta-sindhum indum
18. iha purāṇāni udite vātāyana-udara-gavākṣa-kavāṭa-kakṣā-dvāra-ānanaiḥ paṭhanti.
(tathā) śvabhra-abhra-kandara-darī-vana-veṇu-randhra-vargeṇa mandaraḥ iva amṛta-sindhum indum (paṭhanti).
18. Here, when the sun rises, people recite the Purāṇas through the openings of large windows, inner windows, small windows, door-panels, and chamber doors. This recitation, echoing through pits, clouds, caves, ravines, forests, and bamboo holes, is like Mount Mandara churning the ocean of nectar to produce the moon.
