वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-18, verse-47

स ममादर्शनाद्दीनो बाल्यात् प्रभृति लालितः ।
तटाक इव पीताम्बुरुपशोषं गमिष्यति ॥४७॥
47. sa mamādarśanāddīno bālyāt prabhṛti lālitaḥ ,
taṭāka iva pītāmburupaśoṣaṃ gamiṣyati.

| taṭākaḥ iva pītāmbuḥ upaśoṣam gamiṣyati

47. He, who has been cherished by me since childhood, will become dejected due to my absence and will waste away like a pond whose water has been drunk.
