वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-18, verse-41

यत्त्वमात्थ नरश्रेष्ठ तदेवं नात्र संशयः ।
प्रतिवक्तुं प्रकृष्टे हि नापकृष्टस्तु शक्नुयात् ॥४१॥
41. yattvamāttha naraśreṣṭha tadevaṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ ,
prativaktuṃ prakṛṣṭe hi nāpakṛṣṭastu śaknuyāt.
41. yat tvam āttha naraśreṣṭha tat evam na atra saṃśayaḥ
| prativaktum prakṛṣṭe hi na apakṛṣṭaḥ tu śaknuyāt
41. naraśreṣṭha yat tvam āttha tat evam atra saṃśayaḥ
na hi apakṛṣṭaḥ tu prakṛṣṭe prativaktum na śaknuyāt
41. O best among men, what you say is indeed so; there is no doubt about it. For an inferior person truly cannot reply to a superior one.
