मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-82, verse-64

ननृतुश्चापरे तत्र युद्धे तूर्यलयाश्रिताः ।
कबन्धाश्छिन्नखिरसः खड्ग-शक्त्यृष्टिपाणयः ॥६४॥
64. nanṛtuścāpare tatra yuddhe tūryalayāśritāḥ .
kabandhāśchinnakhirasaḥ khaḍga-śaktyṛṣṭipāṇayaḥ.
64. nanṛtuḥ ca apare tatra yuddhe tūryalayāśritāḥ |
kabandhāḥ chinnasirasaḥ khaḍgaśaktyṛṣṭipāṇayaḥ
64. And there, others danced in the battle, attuned to the rhythm of the war drums. These headless trunks (kabandhas), whose heads were severed, brandished swords, spears, and lances in their hands.
