केचिच्च चिक्षिपुः शक्तीः केचित् पाशांस्तथापरे ।
देवीं खड्गप्रहारैस्तु ते तां हन्तुं प्रचक्रमुः ॥४९॥

49. kecicca cikṣipuḥ śaktīḥ kecit pāśāṃstathāpare .
devīṃ khaḍgaprahāraistu te tāṃ hantuṃ pracakramuḥ.

Some of them hurled spears (śakti), while others threw nooses. But they, seeking to kill her, the Goddess, then proceeded to strike her with sword blows.
