मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-82, verse-24

समस्तरोमकूपेषु निजरश्मीन् दिवाकरः ।
कालख्च दत्तवान् खड्गं तस्याश्चर्म च निर्मलम् ॥२४॥
24. samastaromakūpeṣu nijaraśmīn divākaraḥ .
kālakhca dattavān khaḍgaṃ tasyāścarma ca nirmalam.

24. The sun (divākara) infused his own rays into all her hair-pores. And Kālaka gave a sword (khaḍga) and her spotless (nirmala) shield (carma).
